Program Description:

• Enroll in a comprehensive Graduate Gateway Program tailored to develop essential skills in information security engineering, with a focus on application security, penetration testing, GRC, and SOC operations.
• Collaborate closely with seasoned information security professionals to gain comprehensive insights into cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
• Engage in hands-on experiences in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks and vulnerabilities in software applications through application security engineering practices.
• Participate actively in security assessment and penetration testing activities to evaluate the security posture of applications, networks, and infrastructure, and provide remediation recommendations.
• Gain exposure to governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Utilize security monitoring and incident response tools and technologies in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents and breaches in real-time.

Education & Prerequisite Requirements:

Must have:

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of application security principles, penetration testing methodologies, and security operations concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

Good to have:

• Familiarity with application security testing tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, or Metasploit, showcasing practical experience in application security engineering and penetration testing.
• Previous exposure to GRC frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, or HIPAA, demonstrating a proactive attitude towards compliance and risk management.
• Basic understanding of security monitoring and incident response tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solutions, enhancing the ability to detect and respond to security incidents effectively.
